The hands behind each story
Every piece that leaves our workshops carries a story — the hands that made it, the wool from Himalayan sheep, the traditions passed down through generations. When it arrives in your home, it becomes part of your story. That's what drives us: connecting the world's most extraordinary craft traditions with the homes that will love them most.

Born between two worlds
We're Jo and Fayaz — a Kashmiri-German family living in the Kashmir Valley. The Shanti Home was born from a love of Kashmir's extraordinary textile traditions and a way of living that slows everything down. We design our own pieces and select traditional Kashmiri patterns, then work directly with artisan families who bring them to life by hand. Every piece carries the stories of the valley it comes from — and is made for the home that will truly cherish it.

Artisan Story:
Our Namda rugs are handmade in small family workshops in Kashmir, where felting and crewel embroidery have been passed down through generations. Each rug supports sustainable rural employment and helps preserve a craft tradition that is slowly disappearing.
Because each Namda is handmade, slight variations in pattern and color are part of its unique charm.
