made according to centuries old, traditional Mughal Crewel embroidery art, in mystique Kashmir, North India.
The fine needle art of Kashmir is famous all over the world. One can find their needle art in Pashmina Shawls, Silk or woolen carpets and embroidered home textiles and decor.
A tradition, that has already impressed the ancient Mughal kings of India and Persia, who then decorated their palaces with these unique and breathtaking pieces of art.
Each piece is unique and has been crafted with care and quality in a small Family-run workshop in Kashmir. It takes more than one person to finish one of these bedspreads and usually (depends on the piece and type of needlework) 2-4 weeks. The work is divided into cutting and tailoring, needlework by the artisan, dying of the woolen thread with natural (vegetable) colors, and special washing-finishing so that the colors will last a lifetime.
